Minister-Designate for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovation, and Member of Parliament for Sissala West, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, has pledged his commitment to advancing Ghana’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) agenda.
Appearing before Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Friday, July 25, Mr. Sukparu affirmed his support for the country’s existing AI strategy and promised to help strengthen it to position Ghana as a leader in AI innovation across the continent.
“I’m aware that there’s a strategy for Artificial Intelligence, and I will assist my minister for us to build upon the already existing strategy.
So that we will enhance it to make it fit for purpose, so that we can make Ghana an Artificial Intelligence hub for Africa,” he said.
Mr. Sukparu’s comments reflect the growing recognition of AI’s potential to drive digital transformation and innovation in Ghana and across the region.
