All 47 Assembly Members ‘present and voting’ at a Special General Assembly Meeting held on Thursday July 24, 2025 at Asante Mampong, voted ‘Yes’ to confirm President John Mahama’s nominee for the Mampong Municipal Chief Executive position. He is Yakubu Yussif, a 34-year old Marketer and the NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for Mampong in the December ’24 elections.
