GFA announces Referees for 2025/26 pre-season assessments – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially released the list of referees and assistant referees selected to undergo comprehensive pre-season training, medical screenings, and fitness evaluations ahead of the 2025/26 football season.

The GFA has outlined a structured assessment process for the selected match officials. The process will begin with mandatory medical examinations at designated regional health facilities, supervised by the GFA Medical Committee.

Upon completion of the medical tests, referees and assistant referees will take part in the compulsory national fitness and theoretical (writing) assessments. These evaluations will be conducted across two zonal centers, Northern and Southern sectors, to enhance accessibility and streamline the process.

The Southern Sector fitness test will take place from August 8 to 10, 2025, while the Northern Sector will hold its assessments from August 15 to 17, 2025.

Match officials who successfully pass all stages of the assessment will be certified to officiate in all major GFA competitions for the 2025/26 season. These include the Ghana Premier League, the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, the Access Bank Division One League, and the prestigious MTN FA Cup.

Below is the full list of match officials selected for the upcoming assessments.
