Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has revealed that more than 500 individuals have been removed from the security services after a thorough review uncovered widespread irregularities in the recruitment process before and after the 2024 general elections.
Speaking at the maiden edition of the Government Accountability Series in Accra on Monday, July 14, 2025, the minister explained that the exercise was aimed at restoring credibility to the security services by ensuring only qualified personnel remain.
