Suzzy Pinamang wearing her eye glasses upon arrival in Ghana
Following a successful eye surgery in the United Kingdom, Suzzy Pinamang, a second-year student at Adventist Senior High School, has arrived in Ghana.
Photos and video footage of her arrival at the airport on July 3, 2025, have surfaced online, showing Suzzy in the company of her family members and Rafik Mahama, special aide to Ibrahim Mahama, beaming with smiles and appearing fully recovered as she moves about without assistance.
Expressing her heartfelt gratitude to Ghanaian businessman Ibrahim Mahama, who covered the full cost of her eye treatment in the UK, Suzzy offered prayers for him, praising his timely intervention.
She shared that she felt immense relief and joy at having her sight restored, adding that her situation could have taken a tragic turn had Mahama not come to her aid.
“God bless him immensely for what he has done. My family and I are grateful for what he has done for us because if it hadn’t been for him, I would have gone blind and my life would have ended. Thanks to him I can now see and even freely move around,” she said.
The latest update follows Suzzy Pinamang’s eye surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom, after she was tragically shot in the eye by a fellow student earlier this year.
Prior to her return, a video update on June 26, 2025, shared by Rafik Mahama showed doctors conducting eye tests to assess her recovery following surgery.
“I am pleased to announce that Suzzy Adwoa Pinamang successfully underwent her scheduled eye surgery on June 2, 2025, at Moorfields Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom, one of the world’s leading and most renowned eye hospitals. The operation was a success, and Suzzy is now on the path to full recovery. She has already begun regaining her independence and is now able to see on her own,” he said.
