2024 election defeat left many NPP supporters in shock; some are yet to recover – Asamoah-Boateng

New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart and former Minister for Chieftaincy Affairs, Stephen Asamoah Boateng, has admitted that the party’s loss in the 2024 general elections has deeply shaken its members and supporters.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Mr Asamoah Boateng said the outcome of the polls caught many by surprise and left them struggling to come to terms with the defeat.

“The 2024 elections weren’t easy. We have all been mesmerized by the results. Most of our people are yet to recover from the loss. It’s a serious issue,” he noted.

He added that while he personally sensed the possibility of defeat, the scale of the loss calls for a sober reassessment of the party’s strategies.

“The 2024 election was not easy. We have all been captivated by the results, but I sensed a feeling of loss among many. Most of our people have yet to recover from it, and this is a serious issue. It will require us to go back to the drawing board and reassess the situation,” he said.
