Nkwant (O/R), June 21, GNA – Mr. Joseph Awal Antwi, Municipal Chief Executive for Nkwanta South, has engaged renowned youth advocate and entrepreneur, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu in Accra, to explore potential collaborations in youth and sports development.
The MCE highlighted the urgent need for a dedicated sports complex in Nkwanta South to harness and develop the talents of young people.
He emphasized that many young people in the municipality were passionate about sports, but the lack of standard facilities limited their opportunities.
Mr. Antwi noted that a well-equipped sports complex would provide structured recreational opportunities, reduce youth involvement in social vices, and create employment opportunities.
Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Afro Arab Group of companies, applauded the MCE’s hands-on leadership approach and encouraged him to formalize the concept through a detailed proposal.
The MCE will lead the drafting of a formal proposal, including technical details, potential locations, and community testimonies.
Ambassador Amadu expressed openness to reviewing the proposal and encouraged continued dialogue around youth empowerment.
