I’ll Say It All If Pushed—Shatta Wale Issues Explosive Warning to Dr. Osei Kwame

Ghanaian dancehall icon Shatta Wale has ignited a fresh wave of controversy after threatening to expose what he described as explosive secrets about renowned businessman Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, should media outlets under the Despite Group continue to speak negatively about him.

In a fiery TikTok live session, the outspoken musician fumed over recent comments made on Despite Media platforms regarding his close ally, rapper Medikal. The backlash came after a video involving Medikal and a female fan at a campus concert went viral—drawing criticism from broadcaster MC Yaa Yeboah, among others.

Shatta Wale, visibly upset, accused some media personalities of deliberately sabotaging artists’ careers and weaponizing their platforms for personal attacks.

“If anyone mistakenly goes on Peace FM or UTV and mentions my name, I will come and say things about Despite that would get me and him in trouble with the FBI,” he warned.

While refraining from directly accusing Dr. Despite of wrongdoing, Shatta Wale claimed he is in possession of sensitive information that could spark investigations if revealed. He urged the business magnate to call his media staff to order, stating that the continued targeting of his name and that of Medikal is “unfair and unnecessary.”

“This country won’t be able to handle it if I come out and say the things I know about Despite,” Shatta Wale added. “I still respect him. But enough is enough.”

The “On God” hitmaker also pointed fingers at the Ghanaian entertainment media for what he sees as selective bias, mentioning highlife artist Bisa Kdei as another victim of destructive commentary.

“Big people have advised me to let it go, but I’m tired of the hypocrisy,” he said. “If they don’t stop, I’ll speak the truth, and I don’t care what happens next.”

The development has stirred significant attention online, with fans and media watchers divided over Shatta Wale’s latest outburst. While some believe the musician is justified in defending himself and his peers, others argue that his threats cross the line and could carry legal consequences.

Neither Dr. Osei Kwame Despite nor any representative from the Despite Group of Companies has officially responded to the allegations at the time of this report.
