Asante Kotoko in advanced talks to sign highly rated Gold Stars midfielder

Asante Kotoko are closing in on the signing of Charles Gyamfi Kamara, the highly-rated attacking midfielder from Bibiani Gold Stars, as negotiations between the two clubs reach an advanced stage.

The Porcupine Warriors have identified Kamara as a key target in their squad rebuild ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

Known for his vision, creativity, and ability to unlock defences, the 24-year-old has been a standout performer for Gold Stars over the past two seasons.

Sources close to the deal indicate that discussions over personal terms and a transfer fee are progressing well, with both clubs optimistic that an agreement will be finalized in the coming days. While the move is not yet complete, all signs point to Kamara donning the famous red jersey soon.

Kamara would become one of Kotoko’s marquee signings of the transfer window, as the club looks to bounce back stronger next season following an inconsistent 2024/25 campaign.
