A delegation from Team Ken, the support group for former Assin Central MP and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong, has paid a special Father’s Day visit to the Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah.
The visit took place on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the church’s premises in Accra, where the delegation, led by key figures in Mr. Agyapong’s campaign, expressed gratitude and spiritual solidarity with the renowned clergyman.
Speaking on behalf of Team Ken, spokesperson Kwasi Kwarteng described Apostle Owusu Bempah as a “father figure” whose influence and spiritual counsel have been vital to both political and faith communities in Ghana.
“Today is a day set aside to honour fathers and father figures, and as Team Ken, we have come here, backed by our faith, to recognize and appreciate a man of God we deeply believe in—Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah,” Mr. Kwarteng Frimpong stated.
“This is not a political gesture but a spiritual one. We are here because we know the Apostle carries grace and has consistently spoken truth to power. We wish him a blessed Father’s Day.”
Also present was Akwasi Poku, NPP Chairman for the Tema West Constituency, who praised the Apostle for his continued impact on the party and national affairs. He acknowledged the spiritual leader’s prayers and prophetic guidance through turbulent political times.
“We are here today on this special day not just to celebrate you as a father but also to seek peace and reconciliation,” Chairman Poku said.
“If there is anything the NPP or any of us may have done that hurt you, knowingly or unknowingly, we ask for forgiveness. We plead that you continue to intercede for the party, the leadership, and our beloved country, Ghana.”
The visit featured solemn moments of prayer and reflection, with Team Ken members expressing their appreciation for Apostle Owusu Bempah’s spiritual covering. The group acknowledged the pivotal role of religious leaders in guiding the conscience of the nation, particularly during politically sensitive periods.
Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah, known for his prophetic pronouncements and close ties to the political establishment, welcomed the delegation warmly. He prayed for peace, unity, and divine wisdom for Ghana’s leaders and thanked the group for their gesture.
He urged political actors across the spectrum to embrace humility, forgiveness, and Godly counsel in the pursuit of national service.
