EOCO Raids His Home Over NAM1—Dada Joe’s Arrest Sh0cks Ghana

Ghanaian Dancehall heavyweight Shatta Wale has finally addressed the recent storming of his home by officers from the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO). In an explosive video, the artist detailed the surprise visit, which reportedly stems from his previous associations with embattled Menzgold CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM1.

Speaking in the video, Shatta Wale described the experience as both shocking and unsettling. “They came to my house like I was hiding something. I was shocked. I’ve got nothing to do with Menzgold’s issues,” he stated. He made it clear that although he had connections with NAM1 during Menzgold’s glory days, he is not involved in any illegal activities related to the company.

Once a prominent supporter of NAM1, Shatta Wale, like several other celebrities, enjoyed significant endorsement deals. However, the collapse of Menzgold and the ensuing investigations have put many public figures under intense scrutiny.

The artist also expressed concern over the arrest of popular entertainment figure Dada Joe. He believes the move could be part of a broader effort to pressure key industry players. “Dada Joe’s arrest didn’t happen by chance. They are connecting dots in the entertainment industry—we’re all being watched,” he claimed.

Shatta Wale ended his video by calling for fairness, transparency, and justice for Menzgold’s victims, but cautioned against turning entertainers into scapegoats.
