Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of left-back Francis Acquah from Bechem United, with all final documents now exchanged between the two clubs.
The 24-year-old defender joins the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year contract ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.The move was confirmed by Kotoko’s management following the successful conclusion of negotiations.
Acquah’s arrival is expected to bolster Kotoko’s backline as the club looks to rebuild for a stronger domestic campaign after a mixed 2024/25 season.
Francis Acquah was one of the standout defenders for Bechem United during the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season. He made 28 league appearances, registering 4 assists and helping his side keep 10 clean sheets.
Known for his pace, overlapping runs, and defensive awareness, Acquah quickly became a key figure in Bechem’s setup.
His consistent performances drew interest from several top-flight clubs, but Kotoko moved swiftly to secure his signature.
Acquah now becomes the latest addition to a growing list of new faces at Kotoko, as head coach Abdul Karim Zito continues his efforts to strengthen the squad for next season’s title challenge.
