CRC to embark on nationwide public engagements

Accra, June 12, GNA – The Constitution Review Committee (CRC) has announced plans to embark on a nationwide series of zonal public engagements. 

A statement issued and signed by Dr Rainer Akumperigya, Secretary to the CRC, said the exercise forms part of the Committee’s mandate to solicit views, inputs, and proposals from Ghanaians on the review of the 1992 Constitution. 

The engagements are scheduled as follows: Bolgatanga on June 16–17, Tamale on June 18–19, Wa on June 23–24, Koforidua on July 3–4, Ho on July 7–8, Accra on July 10–11, Cape Coast on July 15–16, Takoradi on July 17–18, Sunyani on July 24–25, and Kumasi on July 28–29, 2025. 

The statement urged Ghanaians to take an active interest in the process, emphasising that public contributions are essential to shaping a constitution that reflects national values and aspirations 

“We encourage all citizens, community leaders, civil society organisations, traditional authorities, youth groups, and other stakeholders to participate actively in the upcoming engagements,” the statement said. 

It called on the public to contribute towards shaping a constitution that reflects the shared values, aspirations, and future development of the nation. 

The CRC also invited citizens to submit written contributions via email to [email protected]
