The Minister of Communication, Digitalisation and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, has noted that from July 1, 2025, there will be a 10-15% increase in the value of data bundles.

According to him, this comes after a series of engagements with the telecommunications companies.

He announced this at a press briefing on June 10, 2025.

“I am pleased to announce that my engagement with the CEOs has resulted in the following specific measures, which are to take effect from Tuesday, 1st of July 2025. A 10% increase in all data bundles currently offered by the networks,” Sam George said.

In addition to the 10% increase, other special bundles whose value had reduced drastically over the years will be restored on July 1, 2025.

For AT, the GH¢400 bundle, which currently offers 195 gigabytes of data, will now offer 236 gigabytes of data.

Ghana Telecommunications Company Limited – Telecel, will also effect a 10% increase in all data bundles currently offered by the network.

“The GH¢400 bundle, which currently offers 90 gigabytes, will offer 250 gigabytes from the 1st of July. ScanCom Ghana Limited, MTN, a 15% increase in all data bundles currently offered by the network.

“And I’m pleased to announce the restoration of the GH¢399 bundle, which currently has been changed to the GH¢350 bundle that offers 92.88 gig, will henceforth be reinstated to 214 gig for GH¢399,” Sam George said.

He also noted that sanctions will apply to telcos who refuse to apply the revised rates.
