Bibiani Gold Stars to pocket half a million cedis after winning 2024/25 GPL

Bibiani Gold Stars have been officially crowned champions of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, marking a historic triumph for the Western North-based side.

This is the club’s first-ever league title, and their success will be handsomely rewarded with a GHC 500,000 cash prize, as confirmed in the official prize money breakdown released by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The financial rewards form part of the GHC 1.15 million total prize package for the top 10 teams of the season.

The breakdown for the 2023/24 season remains in effect, and it is expected to apply to the current campaign. As champions, Gold Stars top the payout chart, while the second and third-placed teams will receive GHC 200,000 and GHC 100,000 respectively.

Their title-clinching campaign has drawn praise across the country, as the club stunned traditional giants like Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko to lift the coveted title.

Gold Stars, following their triumph, has secured qualification for continental football and will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season.

Bibiani Gold Stars now become the third different club not Kotoko or Hearts to win the GPL in the last three years.
