Vision, resilience, and excellence took centre stage at the 2025 Ghana Business League Awards, held on Friday, 6th June, at the prestigious Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
The high-level event, organised by Maven Communications, sought to acknowledge Ghana’s most exceptional businesses across a broad spectrum of sectors.
Bringing together prominent business leaders, high-performing enterprises, and key industry stakeholders, the Ghana Business League Awards served as a platform to celebrate excellence in enterprise, innovation, and leadership at the highest level.

Under the theme “From Vision to Success: Celebrating Ghana’s Top Businesses,” the ceremony underscored the pivotal role of strategic foresight, innovation, and tenacity in shaping Ghana’s business landscape and influencing broader continental advancement.
The Member of Parliament for Bodi and Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, Sampson Ahi, who graced the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour, lauded the transformative contributions of Ghanaian enterprises and emphasised the private sector’s central role in advancing national development.
“Tonight is more than a mere awards ceremony; it stands as a testament to the power of vision, the triumph of perseverance, and the collective wealth of a nation rising above adversity to forge prosperity,” Hon. Ahi remarked.
He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to cultivating a business-friendly environment through comprehensive regulatory reforms and strategic engagement with private sector actors.
The Deputy Minister reiterated that his Ministry remains aligned with the government’s 24-hour economy agenda—an initiative aimed at creating a more agile, responsive business environment.
“Platforms such as this are crucial instruments in our shared quest to build a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous economy,” he added.
Chairman of the 2025 Awards Committee, Evans Hockey, delivered the official welcome address, paying tribute to the journeys and contributions of both award recipients and nominees.

“Whether you walk away with an award or not, your presence here this evening is evidence that you are among Ghana’s finest,” he affirmed. “We are the architects of our nation’s future, and we carry within us the potential to shape a radiant tomorrow.”
Mr Hockey further emphasised that the awards were not granted based solely on financial metrics, but also took into account corporate values such as innovation, social responsibility, service excellence, and community engagement.
“This is about recognising vision realised through action—proof that success is not only attainable but inevitable,” he observed.
Event Director at Maven Communications, Jojo Danso Asante, congratulated all participating firms and elaborated on the company’s overarching mission.
“We are not merely event organisers; we create platforms that honour genuine achievement and catalyse transformation. We are proud to be the driving force behind not only this ceremony, but also initiatives such as the African Best Business Awards and the forthcoming HR Services and Awards.”
Mr Asante also highlighted the organisation’s philanthropic wing, the Maven Foundation, which focuses on youth empowerment and skills development.
“Our commitment to national development is expressed not only through our collaborations with businesses but also through our investment in the next generation,” he said.
In a post-event interview, Mr Asante noted that the awards were strategically designed to bolster the capacity of Ghanaian companies to scale up and align more closely with government policy, particularly the 24-hour economy initiative.

He added that the selection process entailed a rigorous assessment of each company’s contribution to economic growth, innovation, and national progress.
Award recipients were drawn from key sectors including manufacturing, services, agribusiness, and technology. The event was supported by leading sponsors such as KPMG, Sunshine, and other prominent industry players. A digital registration and barcode system was implemented to streamline logistics and enrich the guest experience.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Ahi congratulated all nominees and awardees, “Your excellence deserves to be celebrated not merely this evening, but throughout the year. Let us continue to move from vision to success—building a Ghana in which every business has the opportunity to flourish and contribute meaningfully to our collective destiny.”
