The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, is reportedly unwell but committed to cooperating fully with the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) as investigations into an undisclosed matter continue.
His legal counsel, Andy Appiah-Kubi, speaking in an interview with Asaase Radio, revealed that Wontumi’s current health condition prevented him from honouring a scheduled invitation from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.
