Actress Rita Edochie Criticizes Revealing Outfits at White Weddings

Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has spoken out against what she sees as a growing trend of inappropriate dressing at white weddings and public events.

Sharing her thoughts on Instagram, the actress posted a video of a woman wearing a revealing outfit at Ruby Ojiakor’s wedding. Alongside the clip, she wrote, “White weddings are meant to represent purity and decency, but these days, people show up looking almost naked.”

In her caption, Rita expressed concern about the effect this trend might have on younger people. She questioned what children would think when they see such images on social media, adding that it would almost be better for people to walk out of their homes completely undressed at least that way, their intentions would be clear.

She wrote, “What will your children say seeing this online? Mothers with grown children now dress like this too? It’s confusing.”

Rita urged the public to embrace modesty and self-respect, especially at events that are supposed to carry deeper meanings like weddings. She also said she has no tolerance for indecent dressing and advised people to avoid wearing such clothes around her.
