As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) gathered in Assin Jakai to bid farewell to its late Central Regional Chairman, Robert Kutin Jnr, on Saturday May 31, 2025, one scene captured the emotional pulse of the event, a young female dancer, draped in vibrant Kente cloth, performing before former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
The moment was captured in a viral video on X, Akufo-Addo and Dr Bawumia were visibly moved during her performance and gave an undisclosed sum of money to the dancer.
Chairman Kutin Jnr, who passed away on December 22, 2023, after a short illness was not just a party strategist and former Ghana Maritime Authority Board Chair, he was a grassroots figure whose love for tradition, unity, and national service endeared him to many.
Renowned for his firm yet compassionate leadership style, he played a central role in shaping the political fortunes of the NPP in the Central Region while leaving an indelible mark on national institutions.
