Veteran Kumawood actor Oboy Siki got people talking after a video of him at the funeral of Reverend Obofour’s mother, Madam Afia Pokuaa, went viral on social media.

The funeral, held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in Kumasi, brought together some of Ghana’s big names — from Dr. Osei Kwame Despite and Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong to Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and Bishop Salifu Amoako.

Oboy Siki, who showed up with fellow actors Komfo Kolege and Shifo, wasn’t about to blend into the crowd. Dressed for attention, he rocked a flamboyant hairstyle that had people doing double takes — it looked like a bunch of flowers blooming on his head.

In a TikTok video, he was seen warmly greeting NDC supporter Appiah Stadium, who also came to pay his respects. True to form, Oboy Siki managed to bring his signature drama — even at a solemn event.
