YouTuber Catherine Paiz, who rose to fame with the infamous ACE Family vlogs alongside her ex-husband and former partner, Austin McBroom, opened up about some of the most talked-about topics from her married life during a recent interview with Alex Cooper. On the Call Her Daddy podcast, Paiz told Cooper how she was haunted for years, living in disbelief as the internet quickly jumped on Austin’s relationships with different women. At the time, she and Austin were always together, working, raising their kids, and building a business, so she brushed off the rumours, thinking, “That can’t be true.” She debuted her new relationship on Instagram in 2024 after ending her seven-year marriage to Austin, which broke down due to his infidelity.
Catherine and Austin secretly tied the knot in 2017 but only made it public in 2020 after announcing their third pregnancy. The ex-couple share three kids together, Alaïa, Ellea, and Steel, and were together for almost seven years before quietly calling it quits in 2024. During the podcast, Cooper pressed Catherine on the rumours that circulated on the internet for years and asked if she could remember any specific moment when everything changed. Paiz revealed there wasn’t just one moment, but several.
She also shared how Austin would always shut her down whenever she thought about bringing things up, saying, “It’s just part of the territory. Don’t react, it’ll just make it worse. It’s not true.” She believed him because she trusted him. But over time, things didn’t sit right, and the excuses started sounding vague. “There were moments I didn’t know what to believe. Some things were true, some were distorted, some were not true — so it was really hard to tell,” she said.
Recalling one such incident that stuck with her forever, Catherine said it happened right after they had their second daughter, who was just 6 months old. At the time, Austin said he had to fly to Miami for a business trip, and Catherine encouraged him to chase his dreams while she stayed back, taking care of the kids, all while being exhausted from daily shoots, breastfeeding, and everything else. Catherine described how the two would talk on the phone, but she remembered hearing multiple women’s voices in the background. She ignored it at the time, thinking there were no red flags. Then, months later, a male makeup artist posted a video on YouTube spilling tea about what Austin had been up to in Miami. “A couple months go by and this blonde male makeup artist makes this video on YouTube talking about my husband and how he was in Miami and there was this group of people and there was all these girls and there was this boat,” she added. Catherine never watched the video herself, but her friends did and filled her in.
But the cheating saga didn’t stop there. When Catherine was pregnant with their third kid, the couple were live on YouTube filming some content related to their daughter, and at the time, a mysterious text popped up on his phone with a message that read, “If you really loved your wife, you wouldn’t be—” Though she recalled not being able to read the full message, she said something felt off and chose not to speak to Austin for a few days, until he admitted that he had been texting other women and came clean. But it wasn’t until years later, when Catherine released the first chapter of her book, Dolores, My Journey Home, in May 2025, that she heard Autin saying, “I cheated.” Catherine also said that although she knows for sure of three women, there are rumours that Austin told people it was around 20. She doesn’t know the full truth, but says she remembers how painful it was to live through it.

On May 13, just days before her Call Her Daddy episode dropped, Austin posted a 31-minute Snapchat video where he confessed: “I 100% stepped out of my marriage.” He said it was wrong, that he takes full responsibility while wishing to turn time back but, then he added that Ctaherine supposedly knew what was going on the whole time and even told him: “Just don’t make me look dumb. Don’t embarrass me.” Dismising the same on the podcast, the YouTuber said, “I never said that. I would never be okay with cheating.”
