The Ghana Police Service, through its Cybercrime Unit, has arrested 10 foreign nationals in connection with alleged cybercrime activities during a joint intelligence-led operation with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) at Weija in the Greater Accra Region.
According to a statement released by the police, the suspects—comprising individuals of Chinese and Malaysian nationality—were apprehended as part of a coordinated crackdown on sophisticated digital fraud operations suspected to be operating from the area.
The suspects are currently in police custody and are assisting with ongoing investigations.
During the operation, authorities retrieved over 800 assorted mobile phones, several computers and numerous charging devices, which are believed to have been used in cyber-related activities.
All seized items have been retained for forensic analysis to support the investigation.
