Young Sudanese left-back Esmat Abdul Hamid is poised for a return to his parent club Al Hilal in June, following the completion of his loan stint with Asante Kotoko.
According to Sudanese sports outlet Sudafoot, the defender recently arrived in Egypt from the United States as he prepares for his reintegration into the Al Hilal setup.
Hamid together with his Sudanese counterpart, AbdoelKarem Yagoub absconded from the team’s hotel in USA upon the team’s arrival for a friendly against DC United on October 12, 2024.
It is currently unclear whether he was deported or returned on his will to continue his career and honour his contract with Hilal.
Hamid joined Kotoko in the summer of 2024 for a short loan spell.
