Kasapreko showcases strong financial growth, Market leadership at GSE investor event

Kasapreko PLC has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, investor confidence, and financial discipline at the Ghana Stock Exchange’s (GSE) “Facts Behind the Figures” forum.

At the event, the Ghanaian beverage giant highlighted its remarkable performance since making a bold entry into the capital market with a GHS 350 million corporate bond issuance in 2024, the largest of its kind by any local company in Ghana’s history.

Speaking at the engagement on Friday, May 23, the Chief Executive Officer of Kasapreko, Richard Adjei, described the company’s debut in the debt capital market as a defining step in its evolution.

“Our entry into the debt capital market was more than a financing move; it was a bold statement. We embraced accountability, demonstrated strong governance, and proved that a homegrown Ghanaian brand can excel under public scrutiny while delivering value to investors,” the CEO said.
Kasapreko’s financial performance has been nothing short of impressive. For the 2024 fiscal year, the company recorded a 45% increase in revenue, reaching GHS 2.7 billion, driven largely by domestic sales and export demand. Net profit soared by 574%, signalling efficient operations and cost control.

This momentum has continued into the current year. In Q1 2025 alone, revenue rose 52%, while profit after tax climbed 184%, reflecting strong volume growth and disciplined financial management.

Investor sentiment toward Kasapreko remains strong. The company secured tighter pricing on its second bond tranche, indicating growing market confidence in its operations and strategic direction.

Kasapreko also emphasised its commitment to prudent financial practices, actively reducing interest-bearing liabilities and strengthening working capital management to support continued growth.

From a domestic leader to a growing regional powerhouse, Kasapreko has now established a presence across all 16 regions of Ghana and exports to 14 African countries. Its distributor network expanded by 13%, reinforcing its dominance in both production and distribution.

Founded in 1989, Kasapreko PLC has grown from a local beverage producer into a multinational operation. Its flagship product, Alomo Bitters, along with a diverse portfolio of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, continues to hold strong market appeal both in Ghana and across the continent.
