The Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has taken a swipe at the Mahama-led administration, accusing it of failing to deliver on its promises after five months in office.

According to him, the Mahama-led government has not done anything substantial, five months into their governmenance, except to speak English Language.

Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana, on May 22, 2025, Ahiagbah said that the government has so far focused on rhetorics rather than taking action.

“Mahama’s government in five months is just speaking English and has not done anything yet,” Ahiagbah stated.

He argued that the recent appreciation of the cedi should not be a cause for celebration, if it does not translate into job creation and improved living standards.

“If there is cedi appreciates but there are no jobs to feel the impact it in our pockets, then it’s nothing,” he said.

However, he called for the implementation of policies that drive real economic growth and create employment opportunities for Ghanaians.

“I want to see a growth-led policy that will yield results. They have not proven anything yet,” Ahiagbah added.
