Russia “will destroy you all and your cities will burn” is the latest direct threat issued by one of Putin’s cronies to European nations who get involved in the Ukraine war.

The menacing words were uttered by Mad Vlad stooge Vladimir Solovyov on his eponymous state TV show on Sunday. He told his audience: “When I see the French and German, when I hear their discussions about Ukraine and about Zelenskyy. I can’t feel anything but deep, justified hatred towards them.

“For this reason, when French and German journalists are asking me, ‘is it true?’. Yes, it’s true, we will destroy all of you. We will destroy your cities if you get involved in this war.

“And right now you’re positioning yourselves as participants in this war. We will destroy all of you. Your cities will burn and suffer the way cities of Donbas are suffering.”

He added: “For this reason, I will put it this way. One of the Western newspapers quoted only a part of my phrase. Yes, I said it and I will keep saying it.

“Man was created for war and a Russian man was created for victory.” It comes as rumours of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine continue to swirl as Zelenskyy hinted a truce could begin this week after “personally” talking to Putin in Turkey.

The Ukrainian President’s comments were shared to social media after being urged by US President Donald Trump to accept Russia’s latest proposals. The Kremlin has allegedly offered in-person talks between the two warring nations in Turkey on Thursday.

Ukraine and its allies had previously demanded Russia accept a 30-day ceasefire before beginning talks, but Putin reportedly declined in favour of direct negotiation. President Zelenskyy has shared updates on the unfolding situation to X.

In the tweets, the Ukrainian leader shared: “We await a full and lasting ceasefire, starting from tomorrow, to provide the necessary basis for diplomacy. There is no point in prolonging the killings.

“And I will be waiting for Putin in Turkiye on Thursday. Personally. I hope that this time the Russians will not look for excuses.”

On Sunday, Trump insisted Ukraine should agree to Putin’s peace talks proposal “IMMEDIATELY.” He wrote: “At least they will be able to determine whether or not a deal is possible, and if it is not, European leaders, and the U.S., will know where everything stands, and can proceed accordingly!”
