Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has emphasised the belief that true leadership is rooted in action, not words.

He further urged party members to support others in need during difficult times.

In a post shared on X on May 10, 2025, he said, “Leadership is not talk, it’s action. Let’s step in when it matters.”

In the post, Kennedy Agyapong revealed that during a visit to Goaso in the Ahafo Region, he responded swiftly to the plight of a loyal member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Manu Dankwah, who lost his sight to glaucoma.

Despite his predicament, Manu Dankwah remained determined to complete the construction of his home.

However, his efforts were stalled due to a lack of resources to complete the project.

Upon hearing this, the former MP offered his support to Manu Dankwah in the form of money and roofing sheets.

“One of our loyal party elders, Mr. Francis Manu Dankwah, lost his sight to glaucoma but never gave up on finishing his home. All he needed was a roof,” the former MP said.

He continued, “During my visit to Ahafo Goaso, he handed me a letter asking for help. I responded with 5 packets of roofing sheets and GHC7,500 to get it done.”
