Fummey Selorm confirmed Nsawam Adoagyiri MCE

The 2020 and 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency, Fummey Selorm Philibert, has been confirmed as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Nsawam Adoagyiri Assembly.

His confirmation came after a competitive and closely monitored voting exercise, which saw the presence of the Member of Parliament for the area, Frank Annor Dompreh.

The MP, who nominated himself to serve as an agent assisting the Electoral Commission, witnessed Fummey Selorm Philibert secure 29 out of 38 votes cast by the assembly members present.

Following the official declaration by the Electoral Commission, supporters of the NDC broke into jubilant celebration on the streets, with some hooting at Frank Annor Dompreh and his supporters, who had also gathered at the assembly’s forecourt.
In the aftermath of the confirmation, several residents who spoke to Citi News expressed optimism about Philibert’s leadership.

They shared confidence in his ability to bring transformation and progress to the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipality.

“Selorm has won. We know what he is capable of; that is why we have been following him since. I have followed him for 8 years. We know he will transform Nsawam for us,” a resident told Citi News.
