Abdulai Mahamud confirmed as MCE for Bole

Abdulai Mahamud has been confirmed as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Bole/Bamboi Municipality in the Savannah Region.

He secured overwhelming support from the Assembly Members, receiving 34 “Yes” votes and 5 “No” votes, representing 87 per cent approval.

In his acceptance address, Mahamud expressed gratitude for the endorsement and emphasised his commitment to serving the entire municipality. He noted that being entrusted with the position is a duty he takes seriously and pledged to address the pressing challenges facing the area once he officially assumes office.

“I am aware of some of the challenges we face as a municipality, and I will ensure they are addressed as soon as possible,” he assured.

Meanwhile, Savannah Regional Minister Salisu Be-Awuribe has commended the confirmation and assured residents that the Bole Municipality would witness unprecedented development under Mahamud’s leadership.

He further urged Assembly Members to work in close collaboration with the new MCE to improve revenue generation and ensure the successful execution of development projects in the municipality.
