Rihanna at Met 2025
icon and fashion mogul Rihanna has confirmed she is expecting her third child with longtime partner, rapper A$AP Rocky.
The revelation came during her appearance at the 2025 Met Gala in New York City, where she stunned fans and media by cradling her visible baby bump on the event’s navy-and-daffodil-themed red carpet.
The 37-year-old singer, born Robyn Fenty, arrived as the final guest of the night, closing out fashion’s most anticipated evening in signature Rihanna style. Dressed in a striking ensemble that aligned with this year’s theme—“Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”—she beamed for the cameras while gently holding her stomach, subtly confirming the news that had been widely speculated.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, are already parents to two sons: RZA, born in May 2022, and Riot, born in August 2023.
A$AP Rocky, who served as a co-chair for the gala, confirmed the pregnancy while speaking with reporters on the red carpet. “Thank you, thank you, thank you,” he said in response to well wishes. “I’m glad everybody’s happy for us because we’re definitely happy.”
The Met Gala, held annually to support the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, is known for its extravagant fashion and star-studded guest list. Rihanna, a Met Gala veteran, has become renowned for her headline-making appearances, and this year’s was no exception.
Rihanna has a history of bold and creative pregnancy announcements. She introduced her first pregnancy with a now-iconic Harlem photoshoot in 2022 and revealed her second during her electrifying Super Bowl halftime performance in 2023.
She now joins a growing list of stars, including Serena Williams and Karlie Kloss, who have turned the Met Gala into a platform for major personal milestones.
