Ho, May 06, GNA – The 15th Ho East Presbytery Synod of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana is to open at Abutia Teti in the Ho West District of the Volta Region, on Thursday May 8, 2025.
The three-day synod is on the theme “Care for Creation: The Task and Mission of the Church.”
Rev. Richard Mawutor Buamah, Acting Clerk of the Presbytery disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency, in Ho, on Monday.
He said it would be under the chairmanship of Rev. George Akuamuah-Boateng, Moderator of the Presbytery.
Rev. Buamah stated that as a prelude, there would be a pre-synod crusade from Tuesday to Thursday, at 1900hours each evening.
He intimated as part of the crusade there would be door to door evangelism, healing and deliverance at the crusade.
The Acting Clerk continued that the official opening of Synod would be Friday, May 9th at 0900hours followed by a plenary session through to Saturday, 10th May.
He said the Synod would be climaxed by a thanksgiving service on Sunday 11th May 2025.
Rev. Buamah said Mr. James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, would be the Guest of Honour, adding that the General Assembly Executives of the church were also expected to grace the Synod with their presence.
He stated that delegates to the Synod include Presbytery executives, all Pastors in the Presbytery, a Catechist, a Presbyter, one youth and Treasurer each from all Pastoral districts and Parishes, representatives of Church groups and heads of the Church’s institutions in the Presbytery.
Rev. Buamah urged all delegates to the Synod to be on time and help make it a success.
