I Don’t Care What My Party Will Think Of Me; Mahama is a Good Leader and I Revere Him- Kyei Mensah

Ghanaian entertainer and leader of the New Patriotic Party, Fred Kyei Mensah has sung praises for President John Dramani Mahama for his contributions to the creative arts industry.

Reacting to the launch of the Black Star Experience, Fred Kyei Mensah admitted that he no longer care of what the New Patriotic Party members will think of him, he will revere president John Dramani Mahama

“I personally would not mind what one thinks of him but for myself, i will revere President John Mahama for his positive contributions to the lives of the aging creative arts people anytime. He shows empathy. That’s kind of him.

I don’t care whether he does it for political expediency however, from the little i have observed, followed and seen from him, he does it effortlessly and has a good heart for the welfare of such people. God bless him.

On the 18th July 2017, Hon Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, sent me on a mission to Agona Swedru to visit the late ace actor of the Osofo Dadzie fame, Super OD before his demise in February 2018. He Super OD, entreated me to thank President John Mahama whenever i meet him for his kindness.

President Mahama visited some people like the late AB Crenstil, Grace Nortey, Paa George, late Paapa Yankson, late CK Mann, late Jewel Ackah and other members of the creative industry and blessed them with goodies. The story he shared at the funeral observance of AB Crenstil in November 2022, was touching.

Last Thursday 1st May,2025, the President together with some top notched Creative Industry Professionals like Rex Omar, Abeiku Santana, KOD, Efua Huaojeto and Hon Abla Dzifa Gomashie, graced the occasion at the launch of the BlackStar Experience at the BlackStar Square in Accra. Good initiative to propel the creative industry and Ghana

The President admonished that, special attention and recognition, should be paid to Agya Koo Nimo and the likes who have sustained our music 🎶 journey.

Brethren, let’s praise our leaders when they do good to others. President John Mahama, has shown the way, let others emulate. The Creative Industry, goes beyond our petty politicking and will not sacrifice my 40 years experience on the altar of politics for the industry to suffer.
