To address the growing electricity demand in and around Tseaddo, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Sub Transmission Accra, will install a mobile transformer to enhance power supply and improve system reliability.

The mobile transformer, with a capacity of 20/26 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) and operating at a voltage of 33/11 Kilovolts (kV), will be temporarily stationed at Tseaddo to support a portion of the load from the La Primary Substation.

The communities expected to benefit from this upgrade include Tseaddo, Chain Homes, and surrounding areas.

The introduction of the mobile substation is anticipated to not only improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply but also boost revenue for ECG’s operations.

Furthermore, it aims to stimulate socio-economic activities within the affected communities.

The mobile transformer is set to serve as a temporary solution to current challenges and will remain in use until the transformers at the existing La Primary Substation are upgraded.
