Tension Rises As Kennedy Agyapong Fires Back at Abronye With a Press Release

Kennedy Agyapong has officially reacted to the recent harsh words directed at him by Abronye DC, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In a press release, Kennedy Agyapong’s team described Abronye’s insults as “regrettable” and “disappointing,” especially since he holds a leadership role in the party.

The press statement, signed by Agyapong’s personal assistant, Prince Adjei—popularly known as Guy Gee—explains that Abronye’s words could create division and confusion in the party. It warns that such attacks can provoke others to also respond with insults, which may damage the peace within the NPP.

Despite the insults, Kennedy Agyapong’s camp says they have forgiven Abronye but urges all NPP members to watch how they speak to each other. “Freedom of speech is allowed,” the statement said, “but it must be used with responsibility.”

The statement praised Kennedy Agyapong for showing loyalty and discipline in the party over the years. It encouraged party supporters not to attack Abronye in return, but rather focus on peace and discipline as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.

It ended by reminding all NPP members that their real enemy is not within the party, but rather the opposition party, the NDC. It asked all patriots to work together and stay united if the NPP wants to win power again and bring development to Ghana.

The statement called on members to stop the internal fights and rather focus on building a stronger and more united NPP for the future.
