Mahama commits to driving investments, jobs, infrastructure across all regions

President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Ghana’s economy by bringing investments, jobs, and infrastructure to all sixteen regions of the country.

He stated that these investments are expected to create jobs throughout the nation.

On Workers Day, celebrated on May 1, 2025 Mahama emphasised the importance of equitable development, ensuring that no region is left behind.

“We will work to bring investments, jobs, and infrastructure to every region in this country,” he declared.

His vision prioritises inclusive growth, job creation, and infrastructure development to uplift the lives of Ghanaians nationwide.

Furthermore, he encouraged workers to dedicate themselves to ensuring profitability within their enterprises.

“Protect the enterprises you work at. When things are going wrong, don’t be afraid to point them out,” the president advised.

President Mahama’s message to workers underscored his determination to address economic disparities and promote balanced regional development.

“Let us all, employers and employees, commit to fostering a spirit of collaboration, understanding, and mutual respect. Let us work together to create a more prosperous and equitable Ghana, where every citizen can contribute their talents and skills to national development,” the statement read.

President Mahama praised the dedication and hard work of Ghanaian workers, recognising their vital roles in the country’s progress.

“Today, May 1, is a special day for our gallant workers. On behalf of the people of Ghana, I celebrate your tireless efforts, dedication, and contributions to our progress as a country and people,” he remarked.

He reaffirmed his commitment to creating an enabling environment for workers to thrive as part of his broader plan to reset the nation’s development agenda.

“My government recognises and deeply values the pivotal role of the Ghanaian worker in driving our national development agenda. You are the engine of our economy, the builders of infrastructure, and the innovators who propel us forward. I am therefore committed to creating a supportive environment that allows you to thrive and help reset Ghana,” he concluded.
