Accra, May, 2, GNA – The Brother Tarcisius Prosthetics and Orthotics Training College (BTPOTC), Nsawam has celebrated one of its students Mr. Jefferson Adu-Gyamfi for earning the highest academic Cumulative Weighted Average (CWA) of 83.6 per cent.
Mr. Adu-Gyamfi, was declared the Overall Best Graduating Student at the 11th Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Graduation Ceremony for Ministry of Health Training Institutions on April 30th 2025 at the KNUST Great Hall, Kumasi.
More than 16,500 graduating students across various disciplines, Mr. Adu-Gyamfi stood out with a Cumulative Weighted Average (CWA) of 83.6 percent, earning him the highest academic honour of the ceremony.
In a press release signed by Dr. Henry Larbi Principal of the BTPOTC and copied to the Ghana News Agency said it was a proud and historic moment for the college.
Dr. Larbi acknowledged the collective effort behind the success “noting that the unwavering support of the college’s hardworking, passionate, and committed teaching and non-teaching staff played a pivotal role in shaping Adu-Gyamfi’s academic journey.”
He added that, “the team at BTPOTC continues to build a culture of excellence, empowering students to rise to national and global standards in prosthetics and orthotics.”
He congratulated Mr. Adu-Gyamfi for his outstanding performance and extended his appreciation to the entire staff for their tireless contributions to academic and professional excellence.
He said “Mr. Adu-Gyamfi has demonstrated what excellence, discipline, and dedication can achieve and this recognition affirms that they were on the right path.”
He urged all students of the college to followe Mr. Adu-Gyamfi step to make themselves and the school proud.
BTPOTC is located in Adoagyiri Nsawam in the Eastern Region of Ghana and is one of the Ministry of Health Training Institutions that offers a Diploma in Prosthetics and Orthotics Technology programme.
It is an Allied Health programme accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Council (GTEC) and the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) of the Ministry of Health, Ghana.
