The Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has sharply criticised the Council of State, accusing it of failing the nation in the wake of the suspension of Ghana’s Chief Justice.
In a pointed social media post, Afenyo-Markin stated plainly, “Our Council of State has failed our democracy,” suggesting that the advisory body has not lived up to its constitutional duty to safeguard the integrity of democratic institutions.
