Theophilus Tetteh Chaie has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), with a mandate to support the Authority’s strategic functions and ensure adherence to procurement regulations across the public sector.
In his new role, Theophilus Tetteh Chaie, who is currently the NDC Greater Accra Secretary, will complement the role of the Chief Executive Officer in contributing to policy formulation and implementation within the procurement space, as well as spearhead initiatives.
He will also be instrumental in the development of procurement rules, guidelines, and standardised documentation aimed at enhancing efficiency and compliance in public procurement.
Tetteh Chaie is expected to work closely with key government entities, including Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), offering technical advice and ensuring alignment with the country’s procurement legislation.
His appointment comes at a critical time when government intends to strengthen fiscal discipline and improve the credibility of government procurement.
