According to GhanaWeb, former Dome-Kwabenya Constituency representative, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has opened up about the spiritual battles she faced during her journey into politics, particularly during her initial bid for a parliamentary seat.
Speaking in a video that has gone viral on social media, the former lawmaker claimed that during her first attempt to contest for Parliament, some individuals targeted her through spiritual means in a bid to derail her ambitions.
She alleged that these individuals took her photograph and soil from her footprints to perform rituals aimed at causing her harm.
Adwoa Safo explained that these spiritual attacks, however, proved ineffective due to the spiritual protection she received from her father, Apostle Safo Kantanka.
According to her, each time her enemies attempted to invoke her spirit, her father would spiritually intervene to shield her from harm.
“During my first parliamentary election contest in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency, some individuals took my picture and collected sand from my footprints to use in a sacred ritual. However, whenever they attempted to call out my spirit to cause harm, my father would appear to protect me,” she said.
She further claimed that the individuals involved in the rituals eventually grew frustrated, stating that even the ritualists began to see a male figure instead of her image when they attempted their incantations.
At that point, they were reportedly warned never to mention her name again.
Adwoa Safo expressed deep gratitude to her father for his protection, acknowledging his role in shielding her from what she described as relentless spiritual attacks during her political journey.
The former MP has recently been active in the media following the 2024 general elections, where she has been speaking about her experiences in Parliament and within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
