Meet The 10 Media Personalities Appointed By President Mahama In His Government

President John Dramani Mahama took office on 7th January, 2025 and has so far appointed a number of media personalities in his administration. Let us look at the media personalities appointed by President Mahama in his government so far.

1. Dr. Randy Abbey – Acting Chief Executive Officer, Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD)

Dr. Randy Abbey, a seasoned journalist and former host of “Good Morning Ghana” on Metro TV, was appointed as the Acting CEO of COCOBOD on January 21, 2025. His extensive experience in media and sports administration is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the cocoa industry.

2. Stanislav Xoese Dogbe – Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations)

Stan Dogbe, formerly with Joy FM, has been appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations). He previously served as a Presidential Staffer and brings a wealth of experience in media and communications to the role.

3. Shamima Muslim – Deputy Presidential Spokesperson

Shamima Muslim, known for her work with Citi FM and Metro TV, has been appointed as Deputy Presidential Spokesperson. She is also the founder of the Alliance for Women in Media Africa (AWMA).

4. Kofi Okyere-Darko (KOD) – Director of Diaspora Affairs

KOD, a renowned broadcaster and fashion icon, has been appointed as the Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President. He is the founder of the fashion event “Rhythms on Da Runway.”

5. Abeiku Santana – Deputy CEO, Ghana Tourism Authority

Abeiku Santana, a prominent radio presenter and tourism advocate, has been appointed as Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority. He has played a significant role in promoting Ghana’s tourism sector.

6. John Dumelo – Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture
