During a recent engagement with VRA employees at the Anwomaso 1 Thermal Power Plant in Kumasi, acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Edward Ekow Obeng-Kenzo reaffirmed his commitment to revitalizing the Authority.
He called on all staff to unite in a shared mission to make the VRA great again.
His visit provided an open forum for both unionized and senior staff to engage in meaningful discussions, raise concerns, and share ideas on career development and the overall progress of the organization.
He underscored that every employee—whether in administration, finance, engineering, or technical roles—has a critical part to play in the VRA’s success.
“When each of us understands our contribution to the big picture, achieving our collective goals becomes much easier,” he stated.
A major highlight of his visit was the announcement of government-approved expansion projects for various thermal plants, which are set to commence soon.
He expressed optimism that these developments would significantly boost Ghana’s electricity generation capacity, aligning with the government’s directive for the VRA to take a leading role in national energy security.
