Hundreds of men and women graduated from the Ghana Military Academy on Friday, April 11, 2025, in Accra.

The graduation of these gallant individuals, who have undergone several months of intensive training, was crowned with a colourful parade at the Teshie Military Academy and Training School.

This momentous occasion will remain etched in the memories of the graduates, as it marked the day they were officially commissioned into the Ghana Armed Forces.

One of the most unforgettable aspects of the day was the presence of the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, John Dramani Mahama.

Ordinarily, the president commands attention at any public event he attends, but at the 2025 Ghana Military Academy graduation ceremony, he truly stole the show.

To the surprise and delight of many, President Mahama arrived at the event in full military regalia, a powerful symbol of patriotism and solidarity with the Ghana Military Academy.

The crowd erupted in cheers as the president, dressed in a striking white uniform, stepped out of his vehicle and made his way to his seat, holding the ceremonial sword at his side.

As he walked past the parade, the enthusiastic cheers from the audience echoed across the grounds.

At the conclusion of the event, the president took the time to salute every military personnel he exchanged pleasantries with, reinforcing his deep respect for the armed forces.
