Mahama Ayariga’s Bawku residence allegedly set on fire

The Bawku residence of the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, who is also the Majority Leader in Parliament, has allegedly been set on fire by some unidentified arsonists.

The report, according to multiple news portals on April 10, 2025, said the incident follows a similar attack on buildings of the police in the town.

One person reportedly perished in the arson of the police buildings, while others sustained several degrees of injuries.

Following that incident, the Member of Parliament who doubles as the Majority Leader issued a statement condemning the recent shooting incident.

In the statement dated April 9, 2025, Mahama Ayariga distanced himself from the decision taken by law enforcers.
