Benjamin Asare is reportedly at odds with Hearts of Oak over contract renewal negotiations, Ghana Sports Page understands.
He made his return in the club’s 1-0 win over Medeama but is expected to be dropped for the game against Bechem United after declining further extension talks.
His contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and he appears unwilling to extend his stay.
Despite being the captain and recording 12 clean sheets for Hearts of Oak, Asare is now struggling for playing time.
Since returning from Black Stars duty, he has featured in just one of Hearts of Oak’s last three games.
He was left out of the squad entirely on two occasions and did not even make the bench. Kwesi Nketiah now appears to have overtaken him in the pecking order.
