“He Is Capable of Challenging The NDC”– Mussa Dankwah Proposes A Flag-bearer For The NPP For 2028

In the recently concluded general elections, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) secured victory in both the presidential and parliamentary races, pushing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into opposition for the next four years. As the NPP regroups and plans for the future, conversations have begun around potential leadership, with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and others being mentioned as possible contenders.

According to GHOne TV, Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, has stirred conversation by asserting that Kennedy Agyapong is the only political figure capable of challenging both the NPP establishment and former President John Dramani Mahama. Dankwah believes Agyapong’s unique style and broad appeal distinguish him in Ghana’s political space.

In an interview, Dankwah praised Agyapong’s bold communication style, strong character, and outsider image, noting that these traits resonate with many Ghanaians who feel disconnected from traditional politics. “Kennedy Agyapong stands out as the only one who can seriously confront both Mahama and the NPP. His raw honesty and connection with the grassroots give him a distinct advantage,” he said.

Following the NPP’s loss, there is growing internal demand for new leadership. Dankwah’s comments suggest Agyapong could reshape the political landscape if he takes on a more prominent role. Supporters view him as a potential unifying force who could also attract swing voters. However, critics caution that his combative style and controversial statements could alienate parts of the electorate.
