Dr Naomi Wolali Kwetey is new Managing Director of Consolidated Bank Ghana
Consolidated Bank Ghana Ltd (CBG) has announced the appointment of Dr Naomi Wolali Kwetey as the bank’s new Managing Director, effective March 26, 2025.
She succeeds Daniel Wilson Addo, who has led the institution since its establishment on August 1, 2018.
CBG is an indigenous universal bank licensed by Bank of Ghana under the Specialised Deposit–Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930).=
Dr Kwetey steps into the leadership role with over three decades of experience in the financial sector. Her expertise spans corporate relationship management, treasury, credit administration, branch banking, marketing, and operational risk management.
In a statement issued on April 7, 2025 the Chairman of CBG’s Board, Yaw Asamoah, commended the outgoing Managing Director for his dedication and leadership over the past six years.
“Mr. Addo has been instrumental in establishing a strong foundation for the Bank, navigating challenging waters, and ensuring growth and stability. His tenure has had a lasting impact, and the Board extend their deepest gratitude for his invaluable contributions. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr Kwetey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Ghana, a Master of Business Administration in International Banking and Finance from Birmingham Business School, and a Doctorate in Business Administration and Management from Nobel International Business School (NiBS).
With a robust background in banking and strategic management, she is expected to drive the next phase of CBG’s growth, with a focus on innovation, SME lending, digital banking expansion, and deepening corporate partnerships.
CBG reaffirmed its commitment to delivering customer-centric financial solutions that support inclusive growth and long-term sustainability.
