The Minister for Gomoa Central, Kwame A Plus, has responded to recent accusations made by journalist Paul Adom-Otchere regarding the GH¢200,000 GETFund allocation to Members of Parliament (MPs).

Speaking in a video shared on his official Facebook page, A Plus claims what Paul Adom-Otchere said on his Good Evening Ghana show is not true. According to A Plus, Mahama government made plans to give all 275 constituencies GH¢200,000 each to carry out educational projects in their areas.

He added that, as of now, the money has not even been released. And when it finally comes, it will not be given directly to him as MP. Instead, it will be managed by the District Education Director at the assembly level. Together, they will sit down and decide how the funds will be used effectively to support educational projects in the constituency.

A Plus believes Paul Adom-Otchere should not have rushed to accuse him without knowing the full facts. He said it would have been better for Paul to wait until the end of the year to see how the money was used before criticizing.

He made it clear that he is not collecting money to do nothing, as was alleged, and he is committed to using every penny properly to benefit the people of Gomoa Central, especially in the area of education.

A Plus ended his statement by encouraging Ghanaians to seek the truth before believing everything they hear and promised to be transparent and accountable when the funds are finally released.
