The Agona Swedru Divisional Police Command has seized a truck loaded with electrical cables, suspected to be part of the missing containers belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) at Tema Port.
The truck, registered GC 7410-11, was intercepted at Gomoa Awombrew in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region.
According to Citi News sources, the vehicle broke down near Awombrew in Agona Swedru, raising suspicion about its cargo. A subsequent inspection led to the arrest of the driver and three passengers onboard.
Police sources confirmed that the four suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue to determine the origin and intended destination of the cables.
