A former Transport and Logistics Director at Jubilee House, Nana Odeneho Oppong, has accused key figures in the previous government of orchestrating his removal and subjecting him to unfair treatment as per reports from Ghana Web.
He claims that despite his loyalty and contributions to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and then-President Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration, he was unjustly targeted and left without support.
Speaking on Okay FM on March 26, 2025, Oppong alleged that his challenges began when he assumed office. He recounted how he struggled to secure a workspace until the intervention of a senior official.
“The kind of maltreatment that the Chief of Staff made me go through, if I say it, I will cry,” he lamented.
However, he soon faced hostility from some top appointees, including then-Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Opare.
He claimed that his suspension was based on fabricated allegations, stating that he was accused of attempting to remove former National Security Minister Albert Kan Dapaah in favor of Bryan Acheampong.
According to him, this accusation led to heated exchanges with the Chief of Staff.
“I was in the office when the Chief of Staff called me and told me that Kan Dapaah had accused me of trying to remove him,” he revealed.
Oppong further alleged that his suspension was linked to accusations that he had supplied vehicles to illegal miners.
He explained that he had only assisted a party member with a vehicle registration number, which was later found at a mining site, leading to accusations against him.
Expressing disappointment, he criticized Akufo-Addo for failing to protect him despite his sacrifices for the party.
He insisted that his ordeal was part of a broader issue, as many others in government had faced similar treatment.
