Kevin Taylor Responds to Samson Anyenini’s Call for His Arrest by Law Enforcement

In a strong response to lawyer and journalist Samson Lardy Anyenini’s call for his arrest, outspoken media figure Kevin Taylor dismissed the remarks as a personal grudge rather than a national issue.

In a video posted on his social media, Taylor minimized Anyenini’s importance, stating that he wouldn’t waste energy responding to him. Instead, he launched a harsh critique of Anyenini’s hosting of the popular news analysis show *Newsfile* on Joy News.

“Why should I respond to Samson Anyenini? He has a personal issue with me; it’s not a national issue, so I don’t want to waste my energy on him,” Taylor said.

He claimed that *Newsfile* has lost its appeal since Anyenini took over, criticizing his hosting style as uninspiring and disconnected from the discussions. Taylor argued that the show, once a flagship program for the Multimedia Group, has seen its viewership decline because of Anyenini’s perceived lack of dynamism.

“Since he took over Newsfile, the program is basically dead. There’s nothing exciting about the host; he’s flat, can’t engage in the conversation, and isn’t up to date on the issues,” Taylor stated.

He further alleged that the show’s declining appeal has led to a drop in advertisers, suggesting that Multimedia replace Anyenini with a younger, more engaging journalist who understands current affairs and can connect with viewers better.

“He’s not a television person. He’s not appealing. He should be sacked. If they’re not careful, the show will die,” Taylor added.

Taylor’s comments are part of an ongoing public feud between the two. Previously, Anyenini refuted Taylor’s allegations about his involvement in the controversial Agyapa deal, clarifying that his law firm had not done business with any government in Ghana since its inception in 2014.

The exchange has sparked debate on social media, with some supporting Taylor’s criticism and others defending Anyenini’s work as a journalist.
